With the internals installed in the diffuser, Square the diffuser on the faceplate. Once squared and aligned with the snap-on positions. Slowly push STRAIGHT DOWN ( not at an angle) It will slide on evenly and will not break. Diameter = 2 - 1/8 inches Length = 3 - 1/2 Inches
