  • * * *: This code indicates that the flow/pressure switch is either open or closed. It’s a general alert about the status of the flow/pressure switch.
  • * * *: This code signifies that the high limit switch is faulty. The high limit switch is a safety device that prevents the hot tub from overheating.
  • - - - , - - -: This code means that the water is dangerously hot and there’s an electronic fault. As a result, the system shuts down to prevent damage or injury.
  • -1: This code represents a high limit fault. It’s triggered when the water temperature exceeds the high limit set on the hot tub.
  • -2: This code indicates a temperature sensor fault. The temperature sensor monitors the water temperature in the hot tub.
  • -3: This code signifies that the flow/pressure switch is open. The flow/pressure switch monitors the water flow in the hot tub.
  • -4: This code means that the flow/pressure switch is closed. It’s an indication of normal operation.
  • -7: This code represents a high limit fault similar to -1.
  • ---: This code could mean two things. If it represents a high limit or temperature sensor fault, it means that the water may be dangerously hot. If it’s shown on startup, it’s for temperature sensor calibration after system restart and is not an error.
  • 1: This code indicates a stuck button on the keypad. It means one or more buttons on the control panel are not functioning properly.
  • 2: This code signifies that no controller data is being received. It could indicate a communication problem between the control panel and other components of the hot tub.
  • 3: Similar to -2, this code also indicates a temperature sensor fault.
  • 4: This code represents a water sensor/pressure switch fault. It’s triggered when there’s an issue with the water sensor or pressure switch.
  • 5: This code could mean two things: either there’s a temperature sensor error or the water is dangerously hot.

  • Ecdu, Ecn, Econ: These system messages indicate that the spa is in economy mode and are not errors.
  • err 1 and similar codes represent various faults or errors. They could indicate issues with water pressure (the pump may be air locked or the water level may be low), stuck buttons on the keypad, sensor/pressure switch faults, temperature sensor errors (or dangerously hot water), high limit manual resets on the heater being tripped, stuck heater relays, or temperature sensor faults.

  • FP, Fr, FrE: These codes indicate freezing conditions. The system should self-start the pump/heater if the water is 40° or less.
  • H2O: This code represents a water pressure fault. The pump may be air locked or the water level may be low.
  • HFL: This code indicates that the sensors are out of balance and reporting different results.
  • HiLi, HLEr, HL, HH, OHH: These codes all represent high limit sensor readings. The water temperature may be above the acceptable range or 118° or above. The flow should be checked.
  • Hold: This code indicates that panel buttons have been pressed too many times or too quickly.
  • HOT: This code signifies overheating. The water is over 112° F and a cool down procedure begins.
  • IC, ICE, ICE2: These codes indicate freezing conditions. A warm-up procedure begins.
  • ILOC: This code represents an interlock failure. The magnetic contacts on the spa equipment door should be checked.
  • L1, L2, LOC: These codes indicate that the panel is locked. A code needs to be entered to unlock the control panel.
  • LF: This code represents persistent low flow problems.
  • LO: This code indicates freezing conditions. A warm-up procedure begins.
  • O3-Er: This code signifies an ozone error. The operation and output should be checked.
  • OH, OHH, and similar codes represent high temperature conditions. One sensor has detected 110º or 118º and the spa has shut down.
  • OP: This code indicates an open circuit sensor.

  • RH-HR, RH-NC, RH-NF, RH-NH: These codes represent various types of heater errors. They could indicate a repair error, no communication error from the panel to the board, no flow in the heater or no heat due to a heater fault or failure.
  • SA, SnA, SnH, Sb, Snb, Snt: These codes indicate an open circuit or faulty sensor.
  • SE: This system message indicates that the spa is in economy mode and is not an error.
  • SEoP, SESH: These codes signify sensor errors. The sensor could be open or disconnected or short and nonfunctional. The heater is disabled but the spa is operational.
  • SH: This code represents a short circuit on the temperature sensor.
  • Sn1, Sn2, Sn3, SN, Sn, Sna, Snb, SnH, SnS, and similar codes represent various types of sensor faults. They could indicate high limit faults (water may be dangerously hot), temperature sensor faults (heater deactivated), sensors out of balance (reporting different results), or sensors plugged into jack A or B not working (the spa is shut down).
  • SP-F1,F2 or F3, SP-HR, SP-IN, SP-OH, and similar codes represent various types of spa errors. They could indicate blown fuses, hardware errors, low input voltage, overheating (water temp over 112°), overtemp (air temp around the equipment is too hot due to lack of airflow), etc.
  • Std: This system message indicates that the spa is in standard mode and is not an error.
